@astarsscreams California is big state. Plenty to see.

My parents used to do road trips and camp out at national / state parks. The redwoods alone are worth it (but not Yosemite unless you book a year or so in advance). Walking in a Sequoia forest is a sacred experience.

And then there is 1000 miles of coastal highway....
