@mischievoustomato I remember to have read a novel in which there was a spaceship full of people who just traveled the universe and were surgically altering themselves for the fun of it. Man to woman, woman to dolphin, dolphin to whatever the fuck.
In the end their spaceship got hijacked by the main character who stole their surgical devices for his mission and many of them were stuck in weird forms before we never hear about them ever again.
