Today in 1966, 60 years ago: in a well 213 meters underground, in the U10m area of the Nevada Atomic Test Site (about 100 km northwest of the city of Las Vegas), at 7:17 (local time) the United States detonates its 0.15 kiloton Reo atomic bomb. It is the 446th of 1132 bombs that the United States detonated between 1945 and 1992.
