@inthehands @n1xnx our local sheriff has made it clear he'll cooperate ICE up to the bounds permitted under CA law. Our city pays the sheriff's office to provide police service. Our town has the primary ICE facility for the counter located in an office park and ICE will call the sheriffs to cite or harass observers, but the sheriffs will do nothing and often not show up at all if observers call them. Sheriffs will also harass observers if they get the opportunity or have nothing else to do.
