why did so many governments to resort to segregation in the first place?Some governments believed at the time that unvaccinated people are dangerous and shouldn't be allowed into public spaces. That's the kind of stupid stuff that happens with majority rule unfortunately.
Thankfully later in the pandemic the Dutch government after figuring out that the vaccines weren't as effective as initially thought just did corona testing instead, without looking at your vaccination status. And now while cases aren't as high we're fully back to normal and have been for the past 6 months or so.
Also, what is that "more good" part?The more good part is not dying from corona. Side effects are always better than death.
But honestly the current corona variants aren't as dangerous as the old ones. I'm personally not taking vaccines anymore because I think at this point for me personally it is better for me to get sick than to deal with potential side effects from the vaccine. I would still recommend taking the vaccine to people who are already high risk and are likely to die from corona however.
