I guess people want to encrypt their e-mail because the functionality of e-mail is distinct from messaging platforms like Signal and they also want encryption. Would it be possible to create an update to the e-mail protocol that mandates built-in encryption, which then works like Signal but can be accessed using all e-mail clients compatible with an open standard? 🤔
