    @ravenonthill @hailey if you ask me, cranelift is a good example of a cutting-edge industrial batch compiler (i.e. something in the same general category as llvm but newer); graal/truffle are good examples of cutting-edge industrial jit compilers

    these are the big and mature projects; there's obviously many more experimental ones that i wouldn't be able to begin to enumerate
