I've had a pretty disturbing exchange with a member of my Rotary Club recently on the subject of AI which made me realize that the same propaganda and misinformation vectors that were used to convince a lot of Americans that it was a good idea to elect Trump (twice) are now being repurposed to convince them that ChatGPT and such are good, actually. I had someone lie to me repeatedly when I challenged the quality of some work they did using the platform. Cult-like behavior. Wild.
