@ryo Yes, it's just an example of the worst thing to possibly do. Like, why not use a separate Windows computer as a console at that point? And even pirated games, you are still potentially running malware that just might fuck shit up even through Wine. So, I would use a separate computer even for that.

I only don't mind emulators, because the ROMs are not going to fuck anything up through the emulator, of course. Also wouldn't mind a VM with GPU passthrough, I guess, but I don't have the hardware for that, and I don't know if any fully free hardware can possibly do that. And I can also give a pass to stuff like OpenMW, that is free but uses assets from the original Morrowind (a pirated GOG copy, it actually has some extra stuff that the Steam version doesn't).
