The biggest mistake professor Jiang makes surrounding pagans is constantly around what was considered "gay". If you, as a man, dressed as a woman, that would be considered ergi or "shameful". If you were beat in battle and another man sodomized you, that was considered ergi as well. If you beat another man in battle and sodomized them, it wouldn't be considered ergi, although in modernity we would consider that gay.
