There are five cases being fought in multiple courts. Earlier, a district court in Hokkaido also held that the lack of #SameSexMarriage law violated #Japan’s Constitution, whereas a district court in Osaka held otherwise.
Curious how other two courts will rule. But let’s also not forget that popular values can form the society’s prevalent norms/principles, which could become “soft law,” which in turn could become “hard law.” Ppl make laws. Not vice versa
