@skinnylatte Somewhere else on the mental images spectrum, I had to learn that when neurotypicals say “Wow, how long has it been?” they actually don’t want to know the date when we met last, where we were, what they were wearing, what the light looked like, etc. It’s a very detailed snapshot, or more like short-form video because there’s also sound. Or like a couple of weeks ago I randomly bumped into someone I’d never met but I recognized their name from them messaging me once on LinkedIn four years ago and in their pfp back then they were wearing a black and white striped top and their hair was parted differently and was less wavy.

NTs think I must be obsessed with them in particular instead of just along for the ride with my brain, so I don’t tell them anymore.
