eribosotI just watched a video explaining that there’s a big lake called Lake Vostok some 4 kilometers under the ice sheet of Antarctica that has been cut off from the rest of the planet for the last 15-25 million years. Its existence was only proven in 1993, and in 2013, Russians drilled down to it and retrieved a sample. The water was full of unknown bacteria. It must be like a different planet down there.
