@hellomiakoda @iwein I agree with all of this, but I'm not convinced that digital is a good solution for the dead to convey information to historians.

even if it's an easy to work with plain text format like markdown the server that holds it will likely be gone.

maybe if there were an international network of people replicating the stuff, but even then… we're still processing journals from the civil war.

the likelyhood of that network, or servers, or whatever lasting 160 years…
