This should be setting off alarm bells. People on visas in the US are having them revoked explicitly because of what they said about Charlie Kirk after his death.

Of course, earlier this year, we saw this begin with people being detained and visas revoked over anti-genocide and free Palestine activism. This is a further extension. The former misused existing policies about anti-semitism and anti-terrorism to try to justify their actions. This extends that beyond what reasonably falls under legal understandings of terrorism in the US to their new effort to brand all anti-conservative speech as supporting terrorism.

This is going to get a lot worse very quickly. If you know anyone left of center who is not a US citizen, know they are having to make new calculations about what they can do within their safety needs. And be ready to defend and support those that will be targeted.
