Nicandra physalodes, or apple-of-Peru (in German simply Giftbeere, "poison berry"), by the side of the road. This inflorescence is unusually late, which is almost certainly the result of mowing in summer.
I like the flowers of this plant; it's been more than four years since I last found one in the wild.
