    This is something I’ve seen black folks especially highlight is a belief in a “right to comfort” that upholds white supremacy. That people—especially white people—will only act as long as they don’t experience discomfort. I’ve seen folks unironically say that they think it’s unreasonable for allyship to mean giving up anything. If your allyship only exists within the bounds of your comfort, it is functionally worthless. Growth and change happen outside the comfort zone

      Sometimes I swear to fuck all if most of you had two buttons and one killed a million people and the other one killed a fascist but you had to perceive the fascist dying, you would pick the former. ...and I can't help but wonder if people choosing temporary comfort over meaningful change is why the world still fucking sucks and probably always will.
