I launch an app called "Restore Test App", which is a barebones app for demonstrating the work-in-progress session save/restore functionality. I press the "New Window" button in this app a few times to get a few more windows. I then position the windows: one tall, one wide, one large, one tiled to half the screen on another workspace. I also make two of the windows overlap. Then I log out the session, and demonstrate a "Restore windows when logging back in" checkbox in the logout confirmation dialog. The checkbox is checked, and I confirm the logout. Then I log back in. "Restore Test App" is relaunched, and all of its windows are repositioned back to how they were. Even the stacking order is preserved on the overlapping windows. The behavior is still a bit buggy, though: all the windows think that they are focused, there's an "App is ready" notification that appears, and some windows jump around a bit as they get re-positioned by the systemI then log out of the session again, this time unchecking the "Restore windows when logging back in". I then log in again, and demonstrate that the app was not relaunched
