Today's Sep.16 marks the tragic anniversary of the Sabra&Shatila massacre
The massacre took place between 16–18 September 1982 in the Sabra&Shatila refugee camps in West Beirut, during the Lebanese Civil War.
At that time, the Israeli army had invaded & besieged West Beirut under the pretext of “maintaining security” after the withdrawal of the Palestinian resistance (the Palestine Liberation Organization) under a U.S.-brokered agreement.
