I've been talking about how counterproductive it is to tell people to shut up about what they don't like. Here's my consolidated thread of (mostly technical things) that I find frustrating:

- lack of ability to fully replicate (mirror) an account to a second backup instance in case the first goes away

- inability to disable DMs in a way visible to people who try to send them

- better search

These would likely require non-trivial, protocol-level changes.
