    When independent developers, who tend to be the biggest advocates of standard system components, start thinking about abandoning native UI, you have a problem.

    Worse, when brands start to realize that it’s basically impossible to make a UI that fits into a corporate theme, those developers will lean into React and other non-native web frameworks.

      Apple says they want developers to move to standard system UI, but changes like this are going to push more devs than ever to do custom UI from scratch. You used to be able to combine and extend your UI with system components, to craft the perfect controls that adopt all the system behaviors. Now, you're SOL — gotta reinvent the wheel, or just accept the awful first-party default behaviors
