Well. I was able to get the parts replaced but multimeter testing suggested the parts I pulled were in fact working.
I have an LG with smart diagnosis. When it first failed two weeks ago the code was for a thermistor. I order and replaced that and it still didn't work. Updated diagnosis said thermostat. So since I was tearing it down again I replaced several components and did a thorough cleaning.
My husband found on Reddit that my problem is probably the controller but that replacement of the parts I already did is the correct step. The primary controller non OEM cheapest price I could find before tax and shipping is $211. LG is offering me a flat rate repair that includes parts for about $350.
I really don't know what to do now. New machine or what.
