Not sure. I don't use Wayland current. What is data-control? Is that a protocol let the DE popup a permission request to allow a process to monitor the clipboard like on macOS? Is it universal where the message is sent over dbus and opens a osd-notification or does every single damn composer have to implement support for it?

Wayland just seems like "We could provide a standard abstraction layer, but instead, we're going to make every composer implement it themselves and make universal applications impossible"
