The first 15 minutes of that AWS meetup was literally "AI AI AI", and nobody seemed annoyed that what's happening here is the ownership class consolidating "coding knowledge" into a bunch of giant data centers so they can disempower the uppity coding masses who they currently *need* to make their dystopian visions come true.

And the junior coding masses are lapping it up, because it makes it look like they can do software wheelies.

In fact, they're not doing software wheelies AT ALL.

Biff Jeezus's big computer in the sky is doing the wheelies, and as soon as their bosses realise they're now replacable because their "expertise" lives in a cloud service that can be rented for pennies on the dollar, those "engineers" are fucking GONE.
