My crisis management class is exploring the scenario "what if a team of white collar workers from your org was overseas in a small poor town and a tsunami hit?"
We're exploring it through the lenses of social, tech, economic, environmental, etc, etc...
Turns out by far the biggest problem I keep encountering is the "white collar" part.
Biggest issue...
Social: no one will know how to look after themselves without access to supermarkets, restaurants, hotels.
Tech: no one will know where they are or how to access their documents without their phone.
Economic: everyone is likely dependent on constant tech access for local currency
Environmental: these people probably don't know how to survive a stroll in the bush outside Melbourne, let alone whatever environment this happens in
Political: did I mention these useless fuckers are australian?
