I can see if your morbidly obese, running might not be a good start. But you can still walk and jog on the treadmill while getting the weight down with diet. (Diet has a bigger impact than exercise).
200 lbs doesn't seem too heavy to run, or at least start light jogs on the treadmill for a mile at a time to start and work up .. unless you're like 4"10 or something.
