Tbh, I never actually cared. Because that title usually includes the stock assets and as soon as it becomes public musk tries to sell all or even a significant about of his share of one company, that company becomes worthless ?
So the numbers are in general just virtual.. He will never be able to actually control so much money.

Even if he is able to be the reason why the assets of other people become worthless just based on his actions ? So.. based on my opinion he has still too much power.
