silverpill@tchambers @strypey Proposals often compete with each other. But they are not curated, and all competing proposals may reach the FINAL status (which simply means that proposal is reviewed by the community and no further changes will be made).
The measure of success for a FEP is not the FINAL status, but the number of implementations. We're currently trying to figure out how to properly gather and present this information to the readers.
