@mergerson @opal The idea of federated systems where each instance sets its own rules and decides how it will treat minority members is drawing uncomfortable connections to the US’s experiment with federated states.

I’ve been really enjoying my time here so far and appreciate the degree to which it will be hard for centralized corporate power to control and monetize it, but centralization can also have benefits.
