America’s GenX was sold the idea that a better world was possible and we bought it because the facts backed it up, to a point. We could see some of it in some of Europe. However, we were not living in a system that could get there directly. We were told that it was necessary to waste a lot of money on destructive things because of the Cold War, which ended but nothing got that much better.
