The thread is a variegated thread mixing peach, orange, pink and yellow hues, a fairly traditional rose bush colour. This is easily seen on a little skein of it slapped demonstratively on top of the hoop, beside the roses. There's not even leaves sketched on, so the overall design of the very small piece of fabric is still a mystery to us all.
