Xenophobia has now been a political platform for 3 decades. We on the tolerant left appear to have accepted it as a valid one.

But as it turns out, the agenda of 1) making it difficult to move country, and 2) making it difficult to be an immigrant, has, to nobody's surprise only made racial tension worse.

It is time to rethink the analysis, before more countries elect populist maniacs?

Is it time to approach racism with something else than the appeasing & misguided "your concern is valid"?
