In Konosuba, the light novels have occasional suggestions that the girls really like Kazuma and rely on him, doing cute things like panicking when Kazuma grumbles that he should join another party.

On reflection it's easy to see why. Take Megumin. Who else would go out with her all the time, watch her cast Explosion, and then carry her home? As a soloist, or in any other party, she wouldn't get that kind of princess treatment. Or if she did, she'd rightly find it incredibly suspicious. It takes a bit of trust for a girl to exhaust herself to the point of not being able to walk, in the presence of a man.

And Kazuma is this trustworthy isekai-protagonist harem leader WITHOUT being a lecher or a self-sacrificial white knight. He's got normal interests and normal male interests. A very balanced character.
