Under President Trump, violence &amp; destruction against federal agents &amp; federal facilities will NOT be tolerated. It's COMMON SENSE. The DeptofDefense is mobilizing the National Guard IMMEDIATELY to support federal law enforcement in Los Angeles. In 2020, #Trump asked #governors of #states to deploy their #NationalGuard troops to DC to *quell* #protests after #GeorgeFloyd’s murder by Minneapolis police officers.
At the time, Trump also threatened to invoke the #InsurrectionAct for protests – an intervention rarely seen in modern American history. But then #Defense Secy Mark Esper pushed back, saying the #law should be invoked “only in the most urgent & dire of situations.”
This time around we’ve got #PeteHegseth in that role.
