p@lain I think that's the point of the Switch 2. People don't realize that they got a new Switch. They just use the new Switch because it's better than the old one. And if somebody doesn't use the new one, it doesn't matter. There never was such a fluent console update. It's still the same console. Maybe there will never be a new Nintendo console again, only new variants. Similar to Smartphone updates.
