Like I can get the whole "arabs attack the US because they feel the US is to blame for atrocities in Iraq" - but just stops there, where most people in the US feel like the middle east is a nightmare that we've been sucked into because we became the world police after WW2.

We ended up there in the 90s because of the whole world police BS, and then *really* got in deep because then the Israelis could be like "well now it's messed up because you started fucking around, so you have to 'finish' it"
