There's a lot of counterfactual scenarios to play with re how the United States became a fascist country - which it absolutely is now - but none of ANY of this gets resolved until any organization/movement capable of righting it is willing to hang men and women for violating the oath of office they took to opt, instead, for fealty to self-proclaimed ubermensch whose entire battery of orders worked to defy the country's constitution and do that specifically to destroy vulnerable people's lives for the crime of nothing.
