I went to a Bulwark Live event last night in Nashville and it was awesome! It made me feel hopeful for the first time in a while. One of the highlights was Justin Jones, one of my state legislators who got kicked out by the Tennessee republican supermajority a few years ago after trying to force change after yet another school shooting. He's inspirational. And only 29!! He said as punishment for the incident a few years ago he was removed from his committees and put on the agriculture committee because he has no experience with agriculture. But he started traveling around the state meeting with farmers, and now he's one of the only elected officials meeting with them about the impacts of tariffs. He said a lot of people in deep red districts are changing their minds about democrats because they're the only ones trying to talk to and help people.
