   @mbentley @twann @forgejo the primary reason why I choose #Forgejo is because it is a project run by an organization that puts the interest of the general public first. That matters to me, a lot.

   On the technical side it is also where I find all the people working toward forge federation, which is something I care about.

     @twann @forgejo - As someone who would likely just be a consumer and not necessarily a contributor, I am not sure I fully understand why I would choose #forgejo over #gitea. Is it just due to how corporations tend to do bad things to open source projects? Are there any major goals of this soft fork that aren't in alignment with #gitea? I was also a #gogs user previously so I am interested in understanding the reasons but didn't fully grok the "why" for #forgejo

     Hey everyone! If you're hosting #Gitea, you might wanna take a look at @forgejo. It is a soft fork of Gitea - only it doesn't belong to a corporation and it is being developed at #Codeberg!
     Also the default theme is beautiful and the migration is as simple as replacing the binary.
