Texas is too far south for most people to bother digging deep enough to have a basement under normal circumstances. As long as the slab or crawlspace is higher than exterior grade, he shouldn't have structural or flooding problems with the house. This is just a massive inconvenience for yard use, maybe install some french drains if this is a recurring problem. Alex Gleason likes this. -
