Well, it depends on how you define "one thing". If you try hard enough you can argue that any program does many things - and thus breaks the unix philosophy. OpenRC, for example, is an init system and a daemon supervisor. It also handles dependency management and init script parsing. God damn that's some bloat right there. @awry Systemd is good because I don’t care. As with many other sources of drama, 99% of people are fine with it and therefore don’t say anything.
