50 years ago today, on Dec. 31, 1972, #baseball superstar & humanitarian hero Roberto Clemente died in a plane crash en route to deliver earthquake relief supplies to Puerto Rico. On this day I'm proud to share an article I wrote this year on Clemente's role alongside Curt Flood in baseball's labor movement, published in the Society for American Baseball Research digital exhibit "Baseball & The Supreme Court."
