   @alex I just got an idea...what if #Soapbox could incorporate trends by picking a #Mastodon instance (preferably the closest peer) as its trend "anchor" and mirroring the trends it recieves from that instance?

     @alex @realcaseyrollins timescaledb, a postgres ext, has continuous aggregates if you want to try it yourself

     @alex @realcaseyrollins oh, I was wrong ig, it's part of the contrib packages for me on nixos :jahy_sweat: but it looks pretty easy to install for debian you just add the repo
