@Hyolobrika @overflow no, the point is to be brutal. if as soon as you gain high ground you just magnanimously stop fighting they will just take advantage of your kindness to keep attacking you. if you inflict damage then they might stop fighting and negotiate with you and at that point you can institute fairness.

@Moon @overflow principles are important. If you ban someone just for being associated with someone you don't like then either you have no principles or you have the wrong ones

@overflow not sure what the exact motivation is. tbh i used to be "just enforce the rules consistently" but i've moved on to use your control to punish people in exactly the manner that they used their control to punish others. it's a principle thing. if you don't crush them they won't learn.
