   It's interesting how it is always foreigners coming into a land to takeover, and then claiming to be oppressed by the locals and changing the laws to suit themselves at the expense of the locals. This continues to be our history... and our oppression. Doesn't matter if it comes from a conqueror or the minorities that immigrate. The result is the same.

     @Dave I would say men, but in the past the men would tend to bring their family with them if they had any they were responsible for so maybe both. They would settle in the land and move as required.
