My conversation this week with Prof Linsey Marr, a civil engineer and leading authority on air quality, viruses, and the impact of masks. She's a remarkable explainer and my go-to expert on this topic Follow her: @linseymarr https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/984232#COVIDIsAirborne
@erictopol@linseymarr The Japanese government began a campaign to educate their citizens about the importance of ventilation as early as March 1, 2020. Not surprisingly they've done a much better job on containing the spread of the virus. Even the buses and subways used to run with their windows open. Of the cultures I'm familiar with, Americans are the least sensitive about indoor air quality.
