@DarkMahesvara @Kyonko802 @Tamamo @Yakotarun well by the time my laptop dies (it's pretty old, like 2014-15) they'll hopefully have improved/put out a new one with a mechanical keyboard.
I need my clicky :satania_cry:
oh and by the time I have the money to afford it :shinobu_kaka: -

@Yakotarun @Halo @Kyonko802 Nope absolutely nothing. Thinkpads can be configured to refuse to to do absolutely anything without the password.
When you turn it on it will ask for a password and thats all it does.
You can also install passwords on the hard drive firmware through the Thinkpad bios so you can't do shit with the drive without the password even if you put the drive in another computer.
Thinkpads are neat machines. :senko_happy:
As for why he didn't just do that. I guess raging autism or something. He used debian after all. -

@Halo @Kyonko802 And in case someone wonders, no you can't simply reset the password with a jumper on a Thinkpad.
If you lose the BIOS password, you're fucked. -

@Kyonko802 Thinkpads have really good security features in their BIOS. Why the fuck didn't he use them.
I rather brick my fucking laptop then letting that whore of a sister have it. -
