     @tedb @jonginsf The way this works, when you load a remote image your server fetches the image from my server in realtime. If that fails, you get a broken image.

     What’s weird is that I never experience it on my end. Lately it’s been reported a few times from remote servers, though. Haven’t pinpointed the exact cause.

     media.gleasonator.com goes through Cloudflare to an S3 bucket. It doesn’t touch my actual application server. I assume your server is doing the right thing, but for some reason my S3 bucket or Cloudflare rejects the traffic.

     Not sure, but this seems to happen for images on only remote instances to us. Some sort of timeout I’m guessing or load on the remote instance. In this case in the screenshot it’s the instance run by @alex

     If only Pleroma supported Cloudflare R2. No exit costs.
