     @JapanProf Me. It was quite freeing, but I do have to admit I miss following the accounts I used to follow. However, I'll deal with it because I won't be a party to enabling him and his ideals.

     @JapanProf yes, it will be almost a month now, I also deleted the passwords from the browser in case some sneaky URL logged me back in:-) I prefer it here anyway, I would have moved sooner if I'd known more about the fediverse

     @Zymurgyman I know the feeling of missing some people you connected on Twitter. I migrated here with a whole bunch of people with whom I had connected on Twitter, so it was a group migration. Too bad your Miss Kate didn't migrate here. Btw, my husband is a Welsh transplant in the US and joined the same instance where you are!

     @JapanProf I deleted my bird account prior to landing here. I chose this instance to hopefully reconnect with a Welsh ex-pat, who used the handle Miss Kate on the bird site. She was a sweet person, and made me smile every time I interacted with her. I miss her...

     @JapanProf I did. Sometimes I still want to check, but the more I roam around, follow, and engage here, the less I miss it. This place is like a pub with just enough music - at just the right volume - that allows me to have a great conversation. While at the other place I felt like I was in a mosh pit at a Rage Against the Machine concert. I enjoyed it. But it was frantic and often made me anxious. And I was always glad to leave.
