Damn, wish I could get my hands on a good vermouth. A good Rob Roy would be something.

@ConfederateHobo Missing Spain, writing about Spain, here's a chance for me to talk a bit about Spain
After Franco's death Spain went full gaytard, with every bit of media shunning traditions and pushing international gay shit. Sound familiar? But in the past, vermut was the only alcoholic beverage it was socially acceptable to drink before noon (a little nip after church, say) and our "happy hour" is still called in Spain la hora del vermut. Spaniards have begun to R E T V R N and there is a massive vermut renaissance well underway
It's generally served cool most of the year and warmed in winter, but not hot. Now they'll pour it on ice. I had it both straight and with sparkling water and a piece of orange, hot (mulled w/ spices and a slice of orange) it's fantastic
I like Spanish vermouth better than French and Italian, just a better flavor profile
This is actually a good article - see what you can find locally. If you like vermouth you'll like the Reservas. In the states I've only ever bothered with Yzaguirre and Miro. There is crazy shit they do locally that you aren't going to be able to replicate here but that doesn't matter, it's just good stuff
